Mission

The Quality Assurance Center (QAC) ensures and continuously improves the quality and sustainability of academic and administrative processes at Prince Sultan University in alignment with national and international standards. The Center promotes a culture of quality and accountability, supports institutional effectiveness, and ensures that university services meet stakeholder expectations and strategic goals.

Vision

The Quality Assurance Center (QAC) at Prince Sultan University aspires to be a leading center for promoting and ensuring excellence in academic and administrative processes, contributing to the university's mission to provide quality education and foster a culture of continuous improvement and development.

General Objective

The Quality Assurance Center (QAC) aims to establish, implement, and continually improve an effective and sustainable Quality Management System (QMS) that ensures regulatory requirements and applicable national and international quality standards. The QAC supports the achievement of DQAD’s strategic objectives by monitoring academic and administrative performance, coordinating accreditation and evaluation activities, and promoting a culture of quality, accountability, risk-based thinking, and evidence-based continuous improvement across all university units.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the institutional internal Quality Management System (QMS): Lead the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of an effective and sustainable Quality Management System (QMS) across supporting services, ensuring alignment with institutional strategy, regulatory requirements, and applicable national and international quality standards.
  • Ensure Compliance with Accreditation and External Quality Requirements: Coordinate and oversee institutional and program-level compliance with accreditation and external quality requirements, including those of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC/NCAAA), international accreditation bodies, and support academic and administrative units in meeting applicable standards.
  • Conduct Quality Internal Audits, Evaluation, and Risk-Based Improvement: Plan and conduct internal quality audits, evaluations, and reviews; monitor corrective and improvement actions of supporting services; and integrate risk-based thinking and evidence-based improvement into quality planning and decision-making.
  • Monitor Institutional Quality Performance: Monitor and analyze quality-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), survey results, and service effectiveness measures to assess performance, identify trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate Institutional Quality Reporting and National Submissions: Coordinate the collection, validation, and submission of institutional quality data and reports required for national initiatives and rankings (e.g., Saudi Global Ranking), and oversee quality-related national examinations and evaluations in collaboration with relevant units.
  • Promote a Culture of Quality and Accountability: Promote institutional awareness, engagement, and ownership of quality assurance principles, continuous improvement practices, and accountability through guidance, communication via training, workshops, meetings, and guidelines, and cross-unit collaboration

At Prince Sultan University, quality is not viewed as a periodic requirement for accreditation, but as a continuous and sustainable commitment embedded in all academic and administrative practices. The Quality Assurance Center (QAC) is responsible for establishing, implementing, and continually improving an effective Quality Management System (QMS) that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with national and international quality standards.

In alignment with the strategic objectives of the Deanship of Quality Assurance and Development (DQAD), QAC monitors institutional performance, supports accreditation and evaluation activities, and promotes a culture of quality, accountability, risk-based thinking, and evidence-based decision-making across all university units. The Center conducts internal ISO audits for supporting services, follows up on corrective and improvement actions, and ensures compliance with ETEC–NCAAA and National Qualifications Framework requirements.

Through strong collaboration, transparent processes, and a shared commitment to excellence, QAC strives to strengthen institutional effectiveness, enhance stakeholder satisfaction, and contribute to PSU’s vision of sustainable quality and continuous advancement.
