The Information Technology Center provides integrated technology services that support students, faculty members, and staff in accessing and using university systems, accounts, email, networks, software, and technical support services. The Center works to provide a secure and reliable digital environment that advances teaching, research, and administration at Prince Sultan University.

About the Center

The Information Technology Center was established in 1999 and is one of the University’s independent non-academic units. The Center provides computing facilities for students, faculty members, and staff, along with the guidance, documentation, and resources necessary for their effective use. It also provides IT support for research activities and training programs.

The Center’s activities are supported by a variety of hardware and software platforms integrated into local networks with laser-printing capabilities. The Center provides a wide range of services and applications, including web development and design, database development, programming, and systems support for staff and faculty members, as well as PSU departments.

The fully operational University Campus Network strengthens the University’s communication infrastructure by connecting existing information and computing resources to national and international networks. Internet services are available through the University network, including email, online news services, and file exchange.

The Information Technology Center has specialized support staff who work closely with colleagues across departments and colleges to ensure the effective use of the University’s technology resources and facilities.

Information Security Management System

The Information Technology Center (ITC) is committed to adopting and implementing a robust, integrated system for information security management in strict accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 27001.

This strategic initiative aligns with the University’s overarching goals and objectives while adhering to the applicable regulations and directives within the Kingdom. Its primary objective is to achieve excellence in information security management by ensuring that practices meet and exceed international standards and address the security requirements and expectations of all stakeholders.

The ITC is committed to effectively implementing, maintaining, periodically reviewing, and evaluating the Information Security Management System (ISMS) while striving for continuous improvement. This commitment reflects our dedication to safeguarding information assets and meeting the evolving needs of the University community.
