SDG 15: Life on Land

The Center for Sustainability and Climate (CSC) hosted a workshop along with their strategic partner United Nation Global Compact (UNGC) Saudi Network titled by “Understanding Sustainable Development Goals and its Relation to Saudi Vision 2030” for the PSU students on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Race to Zero for Universities and Colleges campaign is run in partnership with EAUC, Second Nature and UN Environment. EAUC are the secretariat. Being part to this campaign Prince Sultan University has been added to the UNFCCC Race to Zero campaign.

SAUDI ARABIA, 23 March 2023 – Following the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in September 2022, PepsiCo, the leading food and beverage company in the region, and Prince Sultan University (PSU) have activated their first phase of student competitions, with winners announced last Monday.

PSU is committed to promoting the UN’s SDG 2030 agenda as part of its own institutional strategic plan in support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 framework. The Vision 2030 initiative calls on organisations – both private and public – to empower, nurture and inspire young Saudi citizens to fully realise their potential as part of the country’s ongoing formative action to combat the climate crisis and its impacts.

Prince Sultan University is the First Saudi University to Pledge Net Zero Carbon University by 2060. United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Week 2022

The College of Architecture and Design at Prince Sultan University has a sharp focus on national and global sustainability goals, with students and researchers embedding this in their work from inception to creation

Together with Prince Sultan University, Jahez plants 500 trees in an effort to cut carbon emissions and meet sustainability goals.

Prince Sultan University is a sustainable green university that preaches and applies sustainable development approaches and practices at all levels. As part of its endeavors to build a safe, green campus, PSU adopts sustainable waste management and disposal practices that are implemented in coordination with municipal and government agencies.
