Professor Mohammad Nurunnabi PhD (Edinburgh), FAIA(Acad), SFHEA, FRSA, CMBE, CMA, FFA, FIPA, CPA from Prince Sultan University was a distinguished speaker in the session titled – “Continue the conversation with critical questions and ambition for Race to Zero Universities and Colleges”.

Professor Mohammad Nurunnabi discussed “Re-imagining the Role of Education on Sustainability” and highlighted that Prince Sultan University in Saudi Arabia has been taking impactful steps towards achieving the UN’s SDGs, and has the kingdom’s own Vision 2030 in its sights. Universities’ ability to demonstrate their social and environmental impact is more important than ever and, consequently, an increasing number of institutions now benchmark their impact against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Prince Sultan University (PSU) in Saudi Arabia is no exception and places Sustainable Development Goals at the heart of its mission. It has singled out a number of SDGs it feels to be most important to its student body, community and the future of the kingdom. Prince Sultan University is the First Saudi University to Pledge Net Zero Carbon University by 2060. Race to Zero for Universities and Colleges campaign is run in partnership with EAUC, Second Nature and UN Environment. EAUC are the secretariat. Being part to this campaign Prince Sultan University has been added to the UNFCCC Race to Zero campaign.
