This course will survey the various fields of psychology. Topics such as development, learning, motivation, personality, and memory will be included. The course will explore current
approaches to psychology and demonstrate how biological, cognitive, and socio-cultural
perspectives combine to provide a comprehensive view of human behavior, attitudes, disorders,
and treatment.
The course is designed to familiarize students with the processes of communications in
interpersonal, organizational, mass, and intercultural contexts. Topics covered include
communication paradigms, perceptual processes, personal and professional relationships. The
course also includes materials related to both verbal and nonverbal communication,
communication technology, and the role communication plays in culture.
COM 301 is a practical communication skills course. Students will learn how to plan,
construct and deliver oral presentations. They will gain understanding of the uses of
technology in the oral communications process. During the course, the students will make
several presentations. Specific areas of study include topic selection, audience analysis, being
credible, using evidence, organization, delivery, and the use of visual resources.
This course tends to introduce the target European language and culture. It will provide you
with fundamental knowledge for further language studies. It will help you to develop
communication and critical thinking skills, satisfy your curiosity about the target language and
expand your global awareness about other cultures.
This course tends to provide students with communication interactions in the Target language.
The four primary skills to be developed in an integrated way are: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The balance between these four skills should be appropriate to the needs of the students and the course components, but none should be neglected.
This course is highly interactive. For successful interactions well preparation is recommended.
