PE101 Beginner Badminton
This course is an introduction and study of the fundamental movement skills, rules and terminologies of badminton. Students will introduced to the game from historical and technical perspectives; learning its origins and rules, then developing their individual skills through a series of demonstrations, drills and individual performance tasks and reinforcing their skill through competitive games and tournament experiences.
PE201 Intermediate Badminton
The course is designed for students with moderate to intermediate badminton experience. The students will review and refine the basic shots (overhead clear, forehand and backhand, the serves etc.) and introduced to advance level shots, court positioning tactics and strategy. The course will also provide students with great amount of drills, actual game play and class tournament.
PE103 Beginner Basketball
Beginner Basketball deals with the fundamental skills and theories involved in playing basketball. It focuses on the understanding of basic rules of the game as well as the application of the basic skills in playing basketball for beginner level.
PE203 Intermediate Basketball
Intermediate Basketball focuses with the advance and intermediate skills in playing basketball. The theories involved in the course will deal with analyzing the proper mechanics of playing actual 5-on-5 game. Application of advance skills in dribbling, shooting, passing as well as playing 5-on-5 game will be the main focus in the development of practical skills.
PE109 Beginner Soccer
Beginner soccer focuses on develop basic skills of soccer such as passing, shooting, dribbling and heading. It also includes game strategy, tactics, and laws of the game.
PE209 Intermediate Soccer
Intermediate soccer deals with the advanced theories and skills for more understanding of the game. It’s primarily focuses on the advance offensive and defensive strategies and playing philosophies of the games.
PE113 Beginner Swimming
Beginner swimming is mainly a practical course. The objective is to learn basic techniques in the aquatic environment, as well as the joint learning of alternative swimming styles, and the practice of various aquatic sports.
PE213 Intermediate Swimming
This course is designed to provide instruction in five basic swim strokes – front crawl (freestyle), back crawl (backstroke), breaststroke, elementary backstroke and sidestroke. Additional emphasis will be placed on increased cardiovascular fitness along with skill development in treading water, underwater swims, turns and dives.
PE115 Beginner Table Tennis
The course deals with the elementary theoretical and practical skills in table tennis. It focuses on the acquiring and application of the basic techniques, strokes, rules and strategies used in beginner level table tennis.
PE215 Intermediate Table Tennis
Intermediate Table Tennis course is designed to develop an understanding of the theoretical and practical skills in intermediate table tennis. It involves the theories dealing with intermediate techniques and tactics in table tennis, develops creativity in preparation of own game play combinations building on basics obtained in Beginner Table Tennis course. All acquired skills are implemented in real games and inter class tournament. This course also teaches how to umpire professional table tennis matches.
PE119 Beginner Volleyball
Beginner Volleyball focused to develop basic skills of volleyball. It also includes game strategy, and laws of the game.
PE219 Intermediate Volleyball
By the end of this course, students who invest quality time, effort, energy and thought in fulfilling the requirements will be able to recognize the theory involved in volleyball, explain the game strategy and tactics, and perform basic skills of intermediate level.
PE121 Beginner Weight Training
Weight training is involving performance of exercises requiring physical strength, flexibility, agility and coordination. The course emphasizes and develops knowledge of the principles of physical strength through muscular exercise using weights and machines. It provides high standard level of health fitness for students. Also, this course has to improve students experience to build their own weight training sessions.
PE221 Intermediate Weight Training
Intermediate Weight Training course is mainly a practical course. At the end of the mentioned course, the students should learn knowledge related to the components of fitness, nutrition, health and phases of the warm-up and cool down. The students, will also be able to plan their own weight training program, according to their sport background, medical history, personal objectives, current level of fitness and time availability
HPE101 Health And Physical Education I (Women Section)
The course is a combination of health and wellness in relation with diseases and information of first aid. It makes the students aware how to prevent from diseases that related to sports and the common emergencies requiring first aid measures. The importance of this course will help the students to be aware how to stay in healthy and apply it to their practical life.
HPE102 Health And Physical Education II (Women Section)
The course divided into two chapters; Nutrition and Women health. Nutrition chapter teaches the basic principles of human nutrition and food with particular emphasis on practical demonstrations about how to plan healthy diet. Women health chapter is going to empower students to take responsibility for their own health as women living in the 21st century. The objective is to widen the awareness of the students in different issues concerning women’s health such as eating disorders, nutrition in adolescence, obesity, Pre-Menstrual Syndrome, pregnancy and lactation and common women diseases.
